Lara's love for 'everything IT' came about when she was a young, free-spirited girl and her family brought home their very first computer. She developed a strong passion for IT, when she was working in the Operations department, but spent most of her time working with the Engineering team. Because of this experience - she went onto study (whilst still working) IT Product Management, to become a Certified Product Owner. She has extensive, on-the-ground experience; having traveled throughout Africa for 8+ years. In these years, she led and executed projects in almost all of the African countries. This deep, practical understanding of diverse cultures and local business insights, gives Dataglitch the upper-hand, when it comes to building relationships in any of those countries, including South Africa, where she is based at Dataglitch's satelitte office.
Our story
For many years, Maciej Adamski was part of the corporate world; working for large international Fortune 500 company. As a leader in the IT department, he led and delivered many successful projects with his team. After 10-dedicated and loyal years to the company, he started to feel like just another cog in the corporate machine. While the experience was invaluable, it also revealed something important: the corporate mold left very little room for creativity, agility, and genuine human connection.
Lara has worked for over 8+ years in the Fintech African-focussed industry, where she spent much of her career working across countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana and many others. With every journey, she gained deeper insights into the opportunities, challenges, and immense potential of the African market.
Maciej, who is now the CEO and Co-Founder of his own company, Dataglitch, based in Poland, met Lara Higgo from South Africa and everything changed.
Lara, whilst still in the IT industry, Tutors English part-time and was Tutoring Maciej’s Daughter, when they first met. After having a few conversations, it became clear that their goals, values and vision about business and opportunities aligned. With Maciej’s European business background and Lara’s African expertise, they saw an opportunity to bridge the two worlds and a vision to create technological solutions that empower businesses across the African continent.

Maciej's passion for IT started at a young age. He was always curious about how computers work, and later on in life, this led him to be able to build software and master computer games. With his passion for IT growing, the older he got, he decided to go study and do his Engineering Degree and not stopping there, he went onto completing his Master's Degree at a private university in Wroclaw. He now has a decades worth of experience delivering high-performance software for a Fortune 500 company. His philosophy is simple: Good relationships and building beautiful software is his calling in life.
